Rivers Casino & Resort will be operated by Rush Street Gaming, which operates award-winning casinos in Philadelphia, Pittsburgh and Des Plaines, IL (outside of Chicago). Additionally, $5 million will be distributed among surrounding counties in the Capital Region. The City and County of Schenectady will each receive a payment of $2.5 million. Under New York State’s gaming law, a portion of the fee will be distributed to local governments.
